Abstract

An ad-hoc network is cluster of mobile devices or nodes which are able to arrange on its own. The mobile devices (nodes) are self-regulating devices. Mobile nodes forms network without help of any fixed infrastructure. Network formation is dynamic, that means nodes can join and release network dynamically dependent on network strength. MANET face main issue of energy management as energy resources are limited. Based on energy availaility and bandwidth, it is possible to assign roles to mobile nodes to optimize energy and bandwidth utilization. Various algorithms exist to optimize energy utilization and bandwidth optimization. This paper represent comparative study of all those algorithms. Routing paths can be selected based on energy of node and next node distance. This paper will represnt analysis of FF-AOMDV, BB, DSR, and so on. Asymmetric deployment of nodes in MANET and role assignment consumes more energy and may result in unnecessory collisions.
